Our 2020 Year 11 Speech competition was held recently and the standard of our students’ speeches keeps getting better every year. The speeches delivered by the finalists showed every one of them are Soaring.

A variety of topics were tackled including why we need to remove the stigma still associated with mental health, how education opens doors to opportunities, the corrosive effect racism can have, why criticism is important for our growth, and the importance of working together towards a common goal.

The first placed speaker was Molly Mayers, second was Kiyara Kapilaratne and the third placed speaker was Maynian Galvan-Wilkinson. Congratulations to our winners and well done to all our finalists.
