Although Covid-19 has delivered a curve ball to inter-school basketball competitions, a fantastic spectacle of basketball was held in our stadium on Wednesday afternoon.  Our two premier basketball teams who are both unbeaten in their own Auckland Competition played each other.

U17A with Coach Dan Hawkins and U19A with Coach Connor Woodbridge played a hard fought out game. The skills on show were amazing and a credit to both teams! They were ultra-competitive but at the same time, played with incredible Selwyn spirit.  People described it as a ‘just a joy to watch’.

In the end, our U17A team came away with the win but the brilliant culture of Selwyn basketball was the biggest winner.
