Badminton at Selwyn College in 2021will see the launch of a new competitive league that will be run by Auckland Badminton Association. 

There will also be two teams that participate in the inter-school competition at the Auckland Badminton centre during terms two and three with games on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays depending on the grade. Selwyn College partners with Auckland Badminton to provide a professional coach for our competitive players and training is held on Wednesday mornings in the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium.

Students are supplied with quality training equipment, however they are encouraged to use their own racquets for training and games. Registrations for students wishing to play badminton in 2018 will take place towards the end of Term 1.

One boys and girls team will play on Monday afternoon in the B Grade competition. Starts Monday 8th May.

Selwyn College competitive league commences Wednesday 27th March 8am.

Junior students play in PE uniforms. Senior students play in the black PE top and PE shorts.
