Junior Social Studies

The Social Sciences learning area is about how societies work and how people can participate as critical, active, informed, and responsible citizens.  Social Studies is a core subject that all year 9 and 10 students study three times a week.

Social Studies enables students to develop knowledge and understanding of people and their interactions with each other and their environment, today and in the past. This gives students the skills to participate in a changing society as confident, informed and responsible citizens.

Social Studies leads into senior subjects in the Social Science area:

• Media Studies
