Three players from Selwyn College represented the Auckland Under 18 Maroon team last weekend in Wellington in the NZ Under 18 Lacrosse National Tournament – Hannah Grigg, Charlie Hunter and Riley Baxter. They are all only 15 years old and the competition against players older was tough but all held their ground. The games they played were great to watch with Charlie receiving player of the game for the Maroon Team for the first semi-final on Sunday.
The team played off for 3rd & 4th against Waikato B and went down 3-2. It was a close exciting game. The weather was hot on both days but this did not put them off from playing at the highest level.
