Athletics
Selwyn College offers both Athletics (track and field) in summer and Road Racing in winter. A running club also runs year round from the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium on Friday mornings.
Our school athletics day is aimed at participation and fun, but we also facilitate entry into the zone champs for our serious athletes. In 2022 we will be looking to provide specialised coaching for those students involved in the Eastern Zone Athletics meeting prior to the event.

EVENT DETAILS
- Central Eastern Zone Athletics – Thursday 10th March at Mt Smart Stadium (all day)
- Auckland Champs Athletics – Tues 22nd March at Mt Smart Stadium
- Road Racing Champs – 16th August
TRAINING
Students train on their own time or with clubs.
FEES
$10 per student for Eastern Zones.
UNIFORM
Participants will need black shorts (preferably PE shorts) and will be provided with an athletics singlet for zone competition and championships.
NOTES
The school will transport the team to the zone event as it is during the school day.
Parents are welcome to accompany the team and watch the events.
