Yachting
Selwyn College has partnered with the Royal Akarana Yacht Club to provide a sailing programme for interested students. The school focuses on the Teams Sailing Competition run through College Sport Auckland, where teams of six sailors compete in three boats against teams from other schools over a regatta. In addition, the school team competes in the Harken Cup and can facilitate entry into the Auckland Secondary School Fleet Racing Regatta for those students with their own (or their own access to) boats.
Students wishing to begin sailing are welcome to join the Royal Akarana Yacht Club and access their learn to sail programmes.

TRAINING
At the Royal Auckland Yacht Club on a Thursday afternoon from 4-7pm.
FEES
$420 for the training programme plus Regatta Entry fees.
Fleet Racing Regatta is a one-off fee of $55 per boat.

UNIFORM
Due to nature of sailing, sailors wear their usual sailing gear when out on the water.

Parent assistance is always appreciated for supervision and help with transport.
